Networking Solution Information Sciences

Question: Discuss about the Networking Solutionfor Information Sciences. Answer: To avoid the collision of the data the hubs are required to be re-placed with switches. IN addition to this the bandwidth of the network also needs to be increase and also the processing speed of the entire system [1]. The switches would help in spreading the traffic over the whole network. It would also help the monitoring process of the network. Hence, the switches would be simplifying the traffic of the network and make it easier for the components of the network to transfer the data in between them very easily. For upgrading the system 3 switches has to be used to accommodate 50 systems in the network. The switch that are to be used are full duplex switches having 24 ports each. The switches that are to be used should be full duplex and hence, there would be no collision within the network. The switch would help to buffer the data packets and pass it to its assigned destination when the network is in idle state. When the network is busy the switch will buffer the packet and will release the packets and again when the network is free the switches would start dispatching the data packets. MEMORANDUM April 13, 2017 TO: FROM: Insert your name SUBJECT: Network upgrades for resolving the collision related problems The major problem of the current scenario is that the poor response time of the network is causing a lot of collisions that are taking place due to the huge amount of the data transfers in between the servers and the client. As a possible remedy for the situation it is recommended that the hub is replaced by three full duplex switches having 24 ports each. This upgrading facility of the network would reduce the rate of the collision in the network and would allow the various components of the network to pass data efficiently within the network. This would also increase the overall efficiency of the network. Regards. For the efficient solution of the system the VLANs or virtual LAN must be implemented within the network. The VLANs would help to divide the network into multiple broadcast domains. The broadcast messages would only be sent to the network locally. They would not be subjected to routing in between the subnets of the network. Hence, if the network is split up and divided into several subnets, then it will decrease the impact that the broadcast messages are creating on the network. In addition to this it is also required to split up the network into further number of work station subnets. In addition to this a separate subnet must be assigned for the servers. This way the traffic in between the subnets would be routed and the broadcast messages from the different workstation would not be hampering the overall traffic of the network. This in return would increase the overall efficiency of the network. References [1] W. Pawlus, H. Karimi and K.
